Revolve launches Industrial and Marine versions of the
Ford Duratorq Diesel engine range.
Revolve Technologies
Ltd., Technical Partners to the Ford Component Sales group (FCS), has developed
both marine and industrial derivatives of the 2.2L I4 and 3.2L I5 Ford Duratorq
engine.
The engines use a
non-automotive engine management system designed by
Nira
AB
, which
has been calibrated and fully certified by Revolve. All certification was
carried out at RevolveTechnologies VCA
accredited facility in
Brentwood
, where a new
partial dilution tunnel has been installed to measure diesel emissions. The
marine engines have a unique manifold design with integrated cooling stacks,
new wiring loom, FEAD and throttle actuator developed by Revolve Technologies.
The Duratorq engine range is emissions certified to
the European Recreational Craft Directive 2003/44/EC and European Non Road
Mobile Machinery directive 97/68/EC 111A and 111B.
These engines provide industry with the latest
generation, lightweight, high performance, low noise and low fuel consumptionunits, and can be purchasedthrough
the FCS Dealer network.
It is planned to exhibit the I5 installation in the
development RIB boats at various
UK
shows
including RIBEX 2011 and SEAWORK 2011.
